GW Instek AFG-4000 Series Arbitrary Function Generator

 The AFG-4000 series is GW Instek’s first range of arbitrary function generators equipped with an impressive 8-inch touch screen for intuitive operation. The series includes single-channel models with a 25 MHz bandwidth and dual-channel models offering bandwidth options of 250 MHz, 100 MHz, 80 MHz, 60 MHz, 35 MHz, and 25 MHz. Each generator delivers high precision with a frequency resolution of 1 μHz and supports a wide range of built-in waveforms, including sine, square, triangle, pulse, noise, and harmonic waves.

Performance varies across the series, with the top 250 MHz model offering a 1.25 GSa/s sampling rate and mid-range models (35 MHz–100 MHz) providing 500 MSa/s, while entry-level 25 MHz models feature a 125 MSa/s sampling rate. Vertical resolution is 16-bit for models from 35 MHz to 250 MHz and 14-bit for 25 MHz models. The dual-channel models boast a 10M memory depth, while entry-level single-channel models offer 16k memory depth with waveform editing capabilities. Across the range, users benefit from 146 built-in arbitrary waveforms for versatile editing and output.
