Broad Temperature Range

The USB TC-08 is meticulously designed to cover a broad temperature spectrum using any miniature thermocouple connector. Pico offers a diverse range of compatible thermocouples, ensuring versatility and adaptability to various temperature measurement needs. Supporting all commonly used thermocouple types, this logger delivers an effective temperature range from -270°C to +1820°C, depending on the thermocouple utilized. Additionally, you can harness the built-in cold junction compensation (CJC) circuit as a ninth channel to accurately measure ambient temperature.

Experience swift and precise temperature data acquisition with the TC-08, boasting a rapid conversion time capable of capturing up to 10 temperature readings per second (with CJC counting as an extra measurement). Its high resolution of 20 bits enables the detection of minute temperature fluctuations, ensuring exceptional accuracy. Specifically, for Type K thermocouples, the TC-08 maintains an impressive resolution better than 0.025°C across a wide -250°C to +1370°C range.
 
PicoLog Cloud Integration

Raspberry Pi Functionality

The TC-08 seamlessly integrates with personal computers running Windows, macOS, and Linux, and now extends its compatibility to Raspberry Pi OS, specifically on armhf processors. This advancement enables TC-08 usage with Raspberry Pi 4, as well as the current 3B and 3B+ models, offering a cost-effective solution for standalone data logging. Simply connect the TC-08 to the Pi and forego the need for peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, or monitor, transforming it into a budget-friendly autonomous logger that stores data locally on an SD card. Moreover, by connecting your Pi to WiFi or Ethernet, you can enable internet access for your Pico logger.

Leveraging freely available open-source VNC server and viewer software, you gain remote access to your logger from anywhere. Additionally, by harnessing Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability on the Raspberry Pi 3B+ and coupling it with the PoE PiHAT, you not only eliminate the necessity for an external power supply and powered USB hub but also enable internet connectivity for your logger.
