GW Instek GPM-8330 Digital Power Meter

Product Overview

GW Instek's GPM-8320/8330 digital power meters are designed for precision three-phase AC power source measurement and are the perfect tool for most electrical and electronic product testing applications. These models offer a broad testing bandwidth of DC to 0.1Hz-100 kHz, in addition to  16-bit A/D converters and a 300 kHz sampling rate. Moreover, they have a 5-inch TFT LCD display, show 5-digit measurement readings, offer 25 power measurement parameters, and can make precise measurements.

The GPM-8320/8330 models also offer the ability to display waveforms (voltage/current/power), perform integration measurements, analyze harmonics at various orders (compliant with IEC61000-4-7 for 50/60Hz measurements), support external sensor inputs, and provide multiple communication interfaces. These features contribute to providing users with precise, convenient, and comprehensive power measurement capabilities, making them the most comprehensive and economical choice among power meters in their category.

HIGHLIGHTS

Wiring Selection

  • The GPM-8320/8330 offers multiple wiring modes for different input voltage configurations (1P3W/3P3W/3P4W/3V3A)
  • Users can select and change the wiring mode depending on their requirements for measuring parameters for specific wiring

Varied Display Modes

  • Numerical Mode

  • Single mode enables customisation with up to 10 measurement parameters (2 main and 8 secondary) on each tab
  • Multiple mode allows the simultaneous observation of 8 measurement parameters from 3 different modules across four tabs
  • Parameters in both modes can be arranged and customized as needed
  • A simple mode that displays only the first 4 parameters is also available regardless of which tab is selected
  • Graph Mode
  • Features a simple oscilloscope function that displays the waveforms of three parameters: voltage, current and power
  • The horizontal scale can be adjusted (from 50us/div to 10ms/div depending on the set data update rate), and three waveform observation magnification ratios are available
  • The harmonics measurement results of each order can be displayed in a bar chart, and you can specify the order of the harmonics to be observed

Rich Measurement Parameters

  • Measurement items include voltage, current, frequency, active power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor, crest factor, total harmonic distortion and even the capacity to measure the maximum current ratio
  • Equipped with measurement functions for power or current time integration specific to the DUT

Other Advanced Features

  • 5” TFT LCD
  • Voltage/Current Test Freq. Bandwidth: DC, 0.1Hz~ 100kHz
  • Distorted wave Current/Voltage measurement: full range for CF=3, and half range for CF=6 (or 6A)
  • Standard Interface: RS-232C, USB device/ host, LAN;Optional Interface: GPM-DA12 - GPIB + Digital I/O (factory installed only)
  • Meeting IEC 61000-4-7 harmonic measurement (50/60Hz)
  • Harmonic measurement & analysis up to 50 orders
  • Auto-ranging function for Integration mode
